Unfortunately, there have been very few "recognized" Indian breeds. Some of the erstwhile princely states bred hounds for hunting purposes and the breeds which emerged are :
1.The Rampur Hound
2.The Rajpalyam Hound
3.The Mudhol
Then there were the working breeds used by nomadic shepherds and the "Gaddi' breed is one such mountain dog. Very impressive and a bulky dog, fearless and with a good temperament.
Apart from these there are none that I know.
Anyone please add if you know about more Indian Ethnic Breeds
