Yes, beagle can adjust with indian climate. You can contact Mr.Ravi Kumar-Joint Secretary in Mysore Kennel Club and his number is 9663862542,9448933514,080-4161 5021.

Thanks Kamal, I've just completed some research about this breed. I've found being a hound, these dogs have a habbit of hauling. They are not the best appartment dogs. Another trait they have is they are smell driven which means they tend to chase the smell they've noticed. Thus they require a house which is properly fenced. Otherwise, they can run away.
Otherwise, this breed is hardy and very friendly.

what you said is absolutely right, even i had done enough research on this breed and I drop my plan of getting this breed because of smell oriented, difficult to train, and odor/shedding.

I would suggest to contact few beagle owners before developing any opinion about them. Traits you are talinkg about are all of hunting beagles, which you won't find with many of the breeders now a days. I am sure there are many beagle owners who have completely different opinion with what you have:).

Hi Ajay, first of all I wellcome you to Dog Spot. I'm not sure how modern day beagle is being bred. Now, Dobermann is being bred away from agression. Likewise, Beagle may also be bred away from those traits. You are a breeder. How has your experience been?
