hi there how old is ur dog? hair loss in animals can be due to nutritional deficiency or infection. Check for any wound scabs or sores. Have his diet reviewed with the vet. Try nutricoat advance or gold coat syrup. I think the former should be better. Better take him to the vet at the earliest to rule out any infections.

There might be a couple of reasons for this, you probably would be the best one who can judge the exact reason or else see a doctor.
Reasons -
1. Normal shedding cycle
2. Malnutrition
3. Low in body vitamins
4. Liver issues
5. Ectoparacites
6. Endoparacites/Worms

Solutions -
2. You can supplement with Yogurt/Egg/Meat.
3. Multivitamin syrup: A-Z syrup(human), Verol / Proviboost.
4. Liv 52
5. Bulfo shampoo / Anti-tick Collar
6. Alfanil

*In all situation give him/her Sancoat or Velcot.

Hope it helps.
Ayon.

If it is not scratching all the time then your labby is lacking in Omega 3. Give it salmon oil as directed by a vet or/and Pet Care's Velcot. To remove inconsistencies in the ratio of Omega 3:Omega 6 give it a proper diet with dehydrated herring/salmon as in the case of Farmin LG N&D. Our Spitz had the same problem some time back until we started it on Farmina LG N&D that we source from Dog Spot and also gave it Velcot. Get a 800 gm Adult Medium pack if an adult else Puppy Medium and start it on it adding to its existing diet and slowly replacing his existing diet with just Farmina.
