What brands other than Pedigree, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, ProPett are available in India?

What brands other than Pedigree, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, ProPett are available in India, New Delhi to be specific? I have a 8 month old Rottweiler girl. She was on Addiction and Solid Gold but supplies can be erratic at best. Feeding her Royal Canin for Rottweilers but she hates it!

Addiction and Solid Gold are fine but don't touch Pedigree, Royal Canin and Eukanuba even with a barge pole.
Consider going raw (after proper research) as good kibble is not easily available here.

Have started ordering one meal a day from Scooby Corps in Delhi. They make the food fresh. So far they have given me brown rice and rotis mixed with vegetables, chicken, chicken liver, mutton, chicken soup. So she is now getting two meals of Royal Canin and one meal as mentioned above. In addition to all this, she gets bananas, eggs, paneer, supplements, curd, vegetables.

Solid Gold Health Products For Pets, Inc., a pioneer of natural, holistic animal nutrition since 1974, is looking for an agent/distributor in India. Please get in touch with Rani at arul71@starhub.net.sg. Solid Gold is rated extremely highly by the Whole Dog Journal.

Hi all, I just ordered some Solid Gold supplements from Rani, Solid Gold\\\' distributor in Singapore for South-East Asia. It was quite cost effective as compared to shopyourworld.com. Food costs compare favourably with shopyourworld.com but can be a lot more cost effective if we can pool in a few orders. She will give us discounts and get bargain prices from the courier company. She will accept money through paypal from each individual party and will deliver to individual addresses. She wanted me to coordinate this but I do not want to accept money from third parties as I have no business experience and very little time. If we are talking to her for orders then I think we should copy emails to each other so that we know how many orders she has from India. Regards, Himanshu.

Hi Sunny,

What exactly do you want to know? Which brand do you want to get here in India? Solid Gold? If yes, just write to Rani. She is best placed to advise you on how you should go about this. You can be an Indian distributor but would need to order 20 tonnes at a time. You can be a retailer and ask her to send in smaller quantities but it will be be expensive and may not work for either you or your customers.

Regards,

Himanshu.

I have started feeding Taste of the Wild (tasteofthewildpetfood.com) to my dogs. I used to feed Hills. I can see a tremendous difference. I buy from 'Man's Best Friend' in bangalore. Phone: 8050005577. I think they have a web site also. The big bag 30lbs costs me 5300. He offers discounts if you buy in bulk. Taste os the wild is approved by whole dog journal.

Hi all, its been so long i visited Dogspot. gspal i am happy your dog is doing great. But you have explained it clearly that how many supplement you need when feeding a food like Regale.
@ Vikram I am happy for your dogs too, but sadly i have large breed dogs. Taste Of the Wild itself does not recommend it to Gaint Breeds. I will provide a Proof below. The only food it recommends is Sierra Mountain formula, Which contains lamb from USA, Which is not allowed in India, which can not be imported Legally. And we all know pet foods come and go only because of not providing proper certification.
On the other hand i am happy for myself because I feed my dogs Timberwolf Organics and my Labs are more active than ever, the coat is very shiny you will be amazed by the changes. I paid Rs. 4650 for a 33lbs bag(15kgs) and the meat content is much high that taste of the wild(i know because i have done proper research on how ingredients label is listed)It works out cheaper than IAMS or Royal Canine. This is the price he offers for customers anywhere in India, Delivered VIA DTDC courier at your door step. He has a different discount schemes. You can contact him at 8940444000 for better pricing.
Proof of TOTW not recommended for giant breeds.
http://www.tasteofthewildpetfo od.com/faq/

Click on the first question "Can giant breed puppies eat Taste of the Wild?"
And I also Noticed how the distributor of Taste of the wild omitted this from his FAQ. I would feel very uncomfortable buying from a irresponsible seller. Not all pet lovers can do research on all sorts of things regarding food.
I have to post this in other places so Giant breed and large breed puppy owners can make better decision on whats good for their dog.

TOTW is an excellent product rated very highly in independent reviews. I believe in India we only have "Pacific Stream Puppy Formula", "Pacific Stream Canine Formula" and "Wetlands Canine Formula" since lamb, bison formulas are not allowed by DAHD. Except some of these formulas contain 'canola oil", a named vegetable oil that is a source of Omega 6 and to a lesser extent Omega 3 fatty acids. There are skeptics who reckon canola oil should not be part of a canine's diet. Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum are probiotics found in super products. Also chelated minerals are easier to absorb by the body. A welcome addition to the India Pet Food Market filled with supposedly premium products.

How is the availability though?

fruits like apples,blueberries and cranberries
Vegetables like carrots,peas and beetroot.

its really good and worth,
the added advantage is , if we start feeding a pup by this food from 40+days we can continue the same food till 16 months no need to change them like how we do with other foods like starter intermediate so on.
