My dog gets scared of bikes(standing or moving) and large vehicles. What to do?

My dog gets scared of bikes(standing or moving) and large vehicles. Her name is Emma, a 6 month old Golden Retriever. She is extremely playful and protective. We take her for regular walks - she isnt scared of any other dog that advances towards her - she maintains her cool temperament and balance, but all this is lost when there is a bike passing by her or even if she passes by a standing bike. It doesnt matter whether there is a human on that bike or no. She gets so scared, that she looses her balance in walking and its tough getting her back to the calm state. Please advise what should I do. For now, I ignore the fear she exhibits so as to not nurture that behavior, but it hasnt helped.

My 8-month-old GSD, Brandoe also has similar but slightly temperamental situation. He races towards a moving bicycle/bike. I'm trying to stop this behaviour by commanding him to 'Stay' and ask him to 'watch' and then proceed with the rest of his walk. He seems to be back into his business after that. This might help.

I too am lame about how to control him from barking each morning at the milkman! He is getting stronger each day :)
Would do great help if anybody recommends something valuable for us.
