Can anyone have any idea except use of choke or electric collar?

My dog( Indian Spitz of 1 1/2 years) is well behaved with other people and very friendly with other pets. But in case if someone scared of him, then he growls on them. I tell people not to get feared, but due to his behaviour, they really get scared of him. Can anyone have any idea except use of choke or electric collar.

this is a natural behaviour for dogs. even my dog does the same thing. in this case, roll up a newspaper and use it as a stick to train your doggy. in my case it helps. though not 100% lol

Thanks for the reply. Me practicing the same, but such things happen suddenly, at that time i don't have anything to correct it.

my dog usually never shouts at people, recently a friend of mine came home and she was a bit scared of the dog. suddently my dog was uncontrollable and barking like insane. i had to lock my friend in a room. in such cases, never ever lock ur dog instead lock the guests to another room as locking or chaining ur dog in front of guests will make him more violent. my dog is very obedient and is also a winner at various obedience training but still he did this. i think they can sense what the other person is thinking.
