10 month old german shepherd puppy is not eating food, help?

Hi dog lovers I have an approximate 10 month old german shepherd puppy. I am giving him pedigree professional 600 to 700gm per day. From last month he refused to eat that food then i started mixing two boiled eggs in the meal both time.result was he started to eat it very fast i was very happy to see that but from day before yesterday he again refused to eat the mix .i daily take him for a walk about 3km both time. Please suggest me what should i do to make him the food on time.i would be very thankful to you

why r u feeding him pedigree? any sort of packaged dog food is bad for your dog and pedigree is the worst food for dogs see wickipedia. an ingredient in pedigree has even be proven to be carcinogenic. stop feeding pedigree and convert to boiled chicken and veggies with a small quantity of rice or change to barf diet

The best food would be Royal Canin and then Eukanoba, I feel. But it also depends on the amount you want to spend. A good food is always recommended for proper growth.

As for your problem do not make ur pup a finiky eater. Give him the right quantity of food and after about 1/2 hr take it away if he does not eat. repeat this with him always. In the begining if he does not eat for a day or so no problem. After which he should start eating when u give him the food. Dogs like routine so follow one.

Also check with a good breeder regarding the amount of exercise based on the age of ur pup. I feel u r giving him too much exercise.

Manjeet, I've gone through the phase you've been going through. I'd just suggest you to gradually phase commercial food out of his diet and introduce home-cooked food. I'm not against feeding ready-made food to ur dogs but like humans, dog also require variety in their life. How can we expect ourselves to keep having dal-roti everyday? Won't it be montonous and a day will come when we'll refuse to have it completely. Similarly, or dogs require variety in their diet. Just imagine how they feel when they chew those same tast, same colour same size kibbles.
Eggs ( boiled or raw ), meat ( raw or boiled ), rice, yogurt are items on which the entire foundation of dog diet rests. So gradualy intoduce these in his diet and you'll see results soon.
