I personally prefer Royal Canin, but due to irregular supply in my area have now switched to Eukanuba.

If you have a pup it may require some suppliments and just the above dog food may not be enough

it depends on what your dog breed is ... your budget .. the food habits of the PARENTS OF THE DOG .. and most importantly .. whether your dog accepts the food or not, because some dogs can be quite choosy about the food they eat ..
I am feeding Royal Canin to my golden retriever.

in India Royal Canin is the best among the brands available if you are feeding kibbles

Hi. I have a 40 day old Lab puppy. How much of Royal Canin should be fed in one meal?
I presently feed around 3-4 spoons of Royal Canin for puppies mixed with around 1-2 spoons of Cerelac Wheat (the puppy was only on Cerelac couple of days back, so I am slowly shifting it to Royal Canin)
And is it ok to mix a little egg whites in the feed?

I feed this Royal Canin feed for 4 times in a day ... and sometimes when the dog is very tired after playing I give him some boiled carrots and radish.

Please advice if there is something wrong I am doing or anything else.

Thanks ...

Royal canin you can start he baby sensi moist in warm water. Cerelac is of no use when you have Royal canin. Carrots or any veggie should be crushed/mashed as veggies are a bit hard to digest and its better digested in grounded form.

@ DoggiesDude - Ya, even I noticed today morning that he eliminates pieces of carrots, which means he is not able to digest them fully, though he seems to just love them!!

I will stop the Cerelac in a day or two anyway.
And you saying that I need to soak the Royal Canin pebbles in warm water?
What I do is, I take a handful of them and put it in his feeding bowl and then pour some water in it, mix it and give it to him. Is there something wrong in this method?

@ pulkit247 - I thought milk is not good for puppies, as they tend to have motions after feeding milk. This is what I read, I have never tried milk on him though.

Thanks for all your replies

@Iswear - I didnot talk about the milk we humans drink. That milk is obviously bad.

I am talking about ROYAL CANIN WEANING MILK - it comes as powder in pouches, which can be mixed in water and fed to the puppy. It is similar to the weaning milk of the dam bitch...

Please read CAREFULLY ...
