Give it some brushing. Then take few drops of pure neem oil on your palm, rub your palms together and then apply it on your companion pet against the growth of the fur, i.e. upwards from the hind to the neck, and on its belly. It will not harm your pom even if it licks it. This is not suitable treatment for cats. You may bathe it after a couple of days. Avoid all chemical powders, etc.
