crush the tablet n mix in paneer/cottage cheese. o even butter.it will slide smoothly. or can add in the eggs too.

i faced the same problem with one of my gsd he used to eat the cheese and stuff while spitting out the tab, i crushed it into a little quantity of milk or water and open the dogs mouth pour it in and held the dogs mouth closed gently for a few seconds till he swallowed it

What i did for my lab is i hide the tablet inside the piece of banana and gave him (this is my grand father idea that he applied on his rajapalayam dog).

I simply hold my dog's mouth open skyward and insert the tablet into the throat and then gently stroke his neck to ensure the tablet sinks in.

Ive been following this for a long time now. My pup now responds well to this method. Ofcourse, a dog not familiar to this way may show some resistance. Ive seen vets doing this. What if puppy refuses to have that milk or cheese? Dogs have extreamly sensitive nose and they can detect in secs what have been added in the meal. Pouring tablet directly into the mouth rules out any such possibility.
