Tell me how to resolve fetching problem of my Spitz?

Hi guys I need help related to fetching. Mine is a spitz of 18 months age. When I throw a stick, my dog chases it, hold it in mouth and while returning to me he stops at 1-2 meters away from me and start playing with the stick. If I don't pay attention and playing with another stick, he also ignore me and sit with his stick. If I go near him to take the stick, he ran off with the stick. Tell me how to resolve this problem

Suraj Offer her some Yummy treats while trying to retrive the stick back this might help many a time. By using this as a tool you will incultivate the need for him to come back to you always . all the best
