Is it possible to tackle conditions like vomiting, loose-motions, loss of apatite at home?

Hi guys, is it possible to tackle some very comman conditions like vomiting, loose-motions, loss of apatite at home. I find these very comman and trying to bring down monthly or quarterly veterinary expenses. Also, i know, vomiting, loss of appetite could be a symtons of fever and the animal should be taken to vet if they persist, is there any way we can determine high fever at home. Also, what medicines can be kept at home to overcome any emergency situation.

Hi Navjot, I shifted from kibbles to raw 3 months back. Since then i haven't seen much vomiting or loose stools with my dogs. I add ginger and few cloves of garlic once in a month. this takes care of intestinal parasite that cause vomiting. I also give curd a probiotic so there is effective digestion.
To control loose stools immediately you can have "Bifilac". I do not want to use any paracetamol on my dogs as they have the tendency to reduce immunity. I usually give them some warm food and provide enough rest if i find they have fever.

Thanks Rajesh. Kibbles are not causing any problems. Even, I've started to introduce home-cooked food in his diet. I'm feeding boiled chicken with rice atleast 3 times a week and I'll increase the frequency as the time unfolds. What I meant from the above question was vomiting, loose motions are very comman conditions we found on our dog and we should be able to handle these well. There are times when people like me are not able to take their dog to vet right - away due to reasons like being very far from the vet or being in office when puppy suddenly falls sick, etc.
It's just like when we have headace we immediately have vicks action 500 which gives instant relieve and if symtons persists we ofcourse go to a doctor! I want to know simpler medicines which can give temporary relief or atleat stop the problem from aggravating atleast.
Rajesh, I've made a note of these drugs and will keep them at home all time. Thanks
