I used Petcare's NOTIX forte Carbaryl dust on my 4 month old itching Lab, is it ok?

Hi Guys, I used Petcare's NOTIX forte Carbaryl dust on my 4 month old itching Lab. The results are encouraging. Though, itching is not gone for ever, it has reduced considerably. He seems to get less irritated then before and has not chased his tail since application. Has anyone else also used this product? Has anyone noticed any side-effect? If this continue to lay good results can I put off applying RIDD. I feel it's to early to sbject 4 month old puppy to the chemicals.

There is no side effect of using notix..
If he is still itichin then give him atrax(25 mg)-half tablet at a time-twice a day..for 1 day..
and instead of notix you can useBolfo Powder(Propoxur powder 1%)

Hi Ravi, it's little early to make any judgements about NOTIX as it's been applied only once so far. It is to be applied twice a week. The product has not removed itching from roots but it has reduced it to some extent. I'll apply it on this Wednesday and then will be able to make any judgment on it.
like I mentioned, I don't want my puppy to be subjected to chemicals at early age. Even if external application reduces the itching to some extend, I'd wait for him to grow up alittle more before I used Atrax or RIDD.

Navjot i will suggest you a herbal treatment..
You can use NEEM leafs, steams, bark or roots..You can boil these things and use the water obtained...
Remove all leafs and other boiled stuffs from the water..mix the water obtained with cold water and give ur dog bath...do this every week for first two week then every alternate week..and this treatment is surely going to work...
You can also mix neem water with milk and give it to your dog...this helps in deworming..
This is a very effective treatement..
I use this treatment on my dog(his name is Bruno and breed is East European Shepherd)
