Please let me know if there is any legal or any other way to prevent this kind of harrassment?

I had adopted a dog (female) from my locality. The dog is 3 years old (when adopted), spayed, vaccinated and dewormed by me. Initially since she was not used to the leash, we used to let him loose but for the past month, she is getting used to the leash. Suddenly a couple of my society members have started having problems (don't know what) and they want us to go out the society which I feel is very wrong. Please let me know if there is any legal or any other way to prevent this kind of harrassment, as I feel that it is equivalent to cruelty to the dog. I am staying in Pune. Please, if any NGOs are there in Pune who can help me out.

Well there is nothing u can do legally unless they harm your log physically. As for the problem, you can talk with those people and ask politely what is exactly bothering them about the dog. Then you can work on it accordingly. Also try to always keep your dog on leash when outside to avoid giving people reasonsto have such problems.
