I have a 4 month old french mastiff and he doesn't barks on strangers!

He sometimes barks on strangers and sometimes not. we bought him for security purpose but he gives no sign of a guard dog. what should i do to make him bark on strangers? or is he very young to do it at this age?

Hi Nancy. I would suggest you to wait until your puppy is 7-8 months old. I have two pups and they started barking at strangers when they were around 7-8 months.

Just don't allow him to smell strangers or play with them. Start chaining him outside at a place where he can see the strangers coming.....:)
