I have a 4 year old Labrador he tends to stink during the rainy season, help?

i have a 4 year old labrador and although we give him a bath regularly he tends to stink during the rainy season thats may be because he gets wet whenever we take him for a walk but then we also dry him after that.....so what can be done in order to prevent this from happening????

Yes you should dry the dog after the walk, but also try to get him wet less....you can try a raincoat which is available for dogs these days. Another thing make sure he is dried properly and not left moist under the coat also wipe his paws properly between the toes etc. you should also try to keep him in a dry damp proof place if possible. Also check his skin and between his paws for any redness. As in the monsoon skin infections also happen which can give a smell. Do not bathe your dog more than once a month unless he is really dirty or smelling.

The basic thing is to keep your dog dry and clean in a airy damp free place. Hope the above is of some use

Mainly their are 2 points to be noted here.

1.Try not to stain any soaps or shampoos on coat and also bathe him once in a month...putting him under morning sun will be of some help...

2. if ur dog has bad breath (in case) due to inadequate diet, that may also result in stink during rainy as these are large breeds and when u take them out for a walk they exhale a lot...

3.another reason would be that ur dog is not used to drink water a lot (after walk/exercise) train it to drink water at regular intervals i.e., after food, after walk etc...

hope this info will be useful to u...
