My 32 days old Labrador has been dripping urine since her birth. What can be done?

I have a Labrador puppy who is 32days old. She has been dripping urine since her birth. Whenever she is picked up we see drops of urine leaking. She is constantly wet in rear part. I have visited 2 vets and both have recommended treatment for UTI. But this has not helped even a bit. Please guide what can be done.

Hi Richpal

Urinary incontinence in small puppies may be due to different reasons - cystitis / faulty anatomy or kidney stones. We would suggest that you seek expert opinion from a good veterinarian and get a scan / ultrasound done to rule out either of the conditions.

We wish your pup a speedy recovery!
