5 months old fracture and she is still limping !?! You should have been to a vet long back for proper follow ups. Did you just stop with the treatment and follow up once the cast was off? And don't self medicate her on calcium. If you have been over doing that for 5 months calcium overdose too can cause problems.
Get immediate medical advise before the problem worsens, especially since it happened at a young age it may lead to permanent damage if not treated.

hii purthan thanks ..
i have been medicating her and been to vet on a regular basis and had her x-rays 3 times but no problem was found with the ligament. may be i will take her to the vet in chandigarh for her check-up. i am confused but could be the problem is it ligament problem or bone program.

Hi Aditya,
Firstly what fracture she had. Was the union of the fracture complete post POP. You need to see a good ortho/surgeon (vet). She is a giant breed and it is very much possible that there is some other problem. Get her X-Ray done for hip too. Don't give an overdose of calcium too her. Her reqmt of Calcium depends a lot on the type of feed u r giving to her because if u r feeding her a premium food u might not require to give her calcium at all.
My Great Dane female had a fracture when she was nearly 3 mths old. I had taken her to a vet surgeon took 02 X-Rays pre POP and post POP and after 06 weeks of the same she was fine. This was when her bone was broken nto two halves. Best of luck wish her a speedy recovery.

Hi Aditya, Thats a good news. Joint fractures take a lot of time to heal. Just make sure that she is not over exerted. Just normal walks and no running. It might take a yr for full regaining of strength. Regards and best of luck.
