At 5 mnth of age she should be fed atleast 3 times a day...Try to give her meals at equal intervals and almost at the same time each day...
About what food she should eat, well it totally depens on you...whether you want 2 give him commercial food or home made food...If you want to go for the commercial one then I guess Royal Canine is probably the best one...it has specific food for diff. breed.
Home made food are also good. the point is that then you will have to devote time for cooking. Plus point is that you know what exactly ur pup is eating & of course she will be happy with the variation that is possible only with home made food. Chicken or meat, rice or chapatti, dal, yogurt, some veggies like carrots, cabbage, coliflower, potato, etc., fermented milk products like paneer, cheese, etc., eggs...... you can mix & match the above ingredients as per ur choice...just remember that 1/3 rd of the meal should me protein (meat/egg/chicken)...
A good recipe which i often give to my 5 mnth old gsd pup is 1/2 cup over cooked rice+4/5 rotis+chicken/meat broth (the water in which the meat/chicken was boiled along with some veggies & potato)+veggies+chicken/meat pieces...all mixed together very well..
I frequently add boiled eggs to this meal...also remember to add a good calcium & multi-vitamin supplement...
And finally...no sugar, no onions, no salt...I do feed my pup minced garlic to control fleas...thats optional..
Hope u find this useful..
