Dear Milind,
A faster growth for a Medium breed dog is not good for the joints. The joints are not fully developed for a 6 month GSD. A faster accelerations will do massive harm to him.

Why do you want to accelerate growth?? Isnt he growing enough normally? Check with your vet whether his weight is proper or not. If he is having appropriate weight then dont try to accelerate growth becuase if your pup grows very fast then later in life he may develop hip or elbow dysplasia or some other disorder of joints. Let him grow naturally.
Proper growth depends mostly on diet. What are you feeding him right now and how much? May be he is not getting a proper diet. Do you add supplements to his feed? If not then you can opt for vitamin & calcium supplements freely available with chemists. Also some liver tonics will help him digest his food properly & thus will improve his health.
Dogs also require proper amount of excercise for growth. Is he getting that?
By 6 months he should have almost reached his full size. You can always compare your pup with its parents specially his father to know whether he is growing enough or not.
Take special care to know whether he is getting a balanced diet with required amount of protein, vitamins, minerals, specially calcium. All these are most important for proper growth of his bones & muscles.
Apetizer & liver tonics will help him eat more & get more from his feed. Feed supplements will supply required nutrients. And a balance diet will take care of his basic requirements for growth.
Also you should consult your vet before chosing an apetizer & liver tonic.
Best of luck.

I agree with the above. Simple example some people take steroid to quickly built their body and have muscles, but later on in life they have various health problems. That is why most people insist on natural body building. This same thing in a way applies to dogs also.

Enjoy all the life stages of the dog as once he or she passes it, it will never come back. Feed you dog a good balanced diet and give it suppliments in the right proportion and all will return out well.

HI EVERYONE I WANT TO ADD SOMETHING BCOZ I AM HAVING GSD AND I BELONG TO MEDICINE PROFESSION.
YOU SHOULD AT THIS POINT OF TIME GIVE YOUR DOG FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ALONG WITH HIS FOOD. MOREOVER ADD CALCIUM GIVE HIM "OSTO CALCIUM" LIQUID OR TABLET ONCE A DAY ONLY.
LISTEN GIVE HIM ANY KIND OF MEDICINE YOUR VET SAYS BUT remember GIVE ANY MEDICINE NOT FOR MORE THAN 2 MTHS BECAUSE THEY CAN RESULT IN KIDNEY STONE.....AND DOG DEATH DUE TO PAIN......

Bro, you can use Vencal-P Calcium syrup 20ml per day & also start Verol Syrup (Multivitamin)- 5ml per day. Feed him Royal Canin German Breed or Ekubana (IAMS) as per specifications on the pack. Lot of exercise to be given long walks etc. Let me know the difference this had made to your dog.
NOTE: DO NOT EXPECT TOO MUCJ OUT OF YOUR PUP IF HE/SHE IS NOT A TRUE/GOOD PEDIGREE LINAGE GSD. ITS ALL IN DA GENE POOL MY FRIEND.

Please do not take the advise given by Boozo05 regarding exercise. Large and giant breed dogs should not be given too much exercise till atleast 2 yrs according to me. I am not a GSD expert but what I am saying applies to all large and giant breed dogs.
