We are having a 1year & 4 months old male labrador, can i send him for breeding?

We are having a 1year & 4 months old male labrador. What we have know so far is that a male has finished puberty when he starts to lift his leg to urinate & it may take up to one year.BUT my Dog is still behaving the same way that he is urinating by sitting. Can anybody suggest is there any problem? Moreover people say we should send him for breeding. Is it the right time to send him for breeding?

For larger breeds like labs puppyhood is considered till 18 mnths. Also u should not breed ur dog before the age of 2 yrs, atleast 18 mnths. So ur pet is still a pup. Some dogs may even take more than 2 yrs to fully mature.
