I would like to know if anyone has traveled with his dog in AC first class?

Hello Friends, I am relocating from Bangalore to Gurgaon. I have a boxer. I was reading an article that it is not advisable to air travel for breeds like Boxer, pug, bull dog etc. I would like to know if anyone has traveled with his dog in AC first class.

Though I didnt have travel in AC first class with my dog, but he travelled with me by dog box available at certain trains. I was told to arrive atleast 2hrs before the departure time. U will need to book ur dog even if u are travelling by AC 1st class. Booking is generally done at the luggage booking counter. But I think you should go to B'lore station in advance to find out the formalities & in case of a dog box whether that particular train is having one or not. Go to the luggage booking office & they will tell u what u need to do.

Its advised not to travel with short nose breed when its too HOT. if planning to fly now, you can do so. Always check with airlines for the temp and pressure before booking. they keep a record of it.

itz not a big problem from bangalore to delhi to fly better takew by air insteadof ac rail coz they will not allow inside the cabin you have to put dog box along with guard according to availability and dog box is also not clean mostly it will carry goats so you will find ticks also check up

@David: Yes he can take his dog along with him in A/C first class or first class cabin...for the rest of the classes, dog box is required....I personally will suggest A/C first class if travelling in during hot season...

David, i would have prefered flying with my dog, but since it is not advisable do airtravel with this breed I decided to travel by train. and i am planning to travel 2nd A/c Rajdhani and keep my doggie in the brake van.
