How to make my dog a service dog or comfort dog any suggestion?

hello friends dis is debbie. i am planning to move to usa or canada next year and i have a 2 yr old gsd. i dont want to leave it alone. i want to take my dog along with me. checked with the airlines rules and all it says u can carry ur dog along with cargo which is quite scary for me. however some airlines allow service dogs and comfort animals in the passenger cabin. i stay in kolkata and wud like to know how to make my dog a service dog or comfort dog. any suggestion wud be highly appreciated.

Airlines from India do not accept canines in cabin. Only small canines are allowed in cabin. GSD not possible. It is not scary at all.

service dogs means either a 'guide dog' for blind people or 'therapy dog' for old people of people/children who are ill. Maybe even a police dog. :)

Lufthansa allows pet in suitable crate in airconditioned hols as checked in baggage. They quite pet friendly airline. Charges for pet dog vary from USD 100, 200 or 400 depending upon size of the crate. Carriage as Cargo, which airlines like Emirates insist, is very costly and very cumbersome.
