did you get both male and female from same litter or diff? are you looking for show quality or just pets? If dogs are sick then they wont eat or wont be active. What food you give? growth depends on food and activities you provide.

I think in GSD's it take upto 6 months for the ears to stand errect. It also depends on the genes. Did you see both parents before buying the pup. If they are from diff litters then again it will depend on the genes and you cannot compare the two pups. Since you have got too pups start planning how you will keep them apart when your female comes on heat and do start training both the pups. Generally it is advised to get one pup only at a time so that the owner has enough quality time for the individual dog/ pup.
