Please tell me some alternative as to how I can give my dog Deworming Med??

hey, i have adopted a 8months old beagle pup 2 weeks back and when i took him to the vet, she said that she found rashes on him which were the result of improper deworming. now he has a loss of appetite and vomits once or twice. i tried giving him Drontal Plus (1 and half tabs, since he is 14kgs) mixed with vanilla ice cream, but he licked it once and started salivating like a waterfall. Since then i haven't been able to give him the tab even once. I am really worried. Can you please help, and tell me some alternative as to how I can give him his Deworming Med?? Please help!!! :(

just open its mouth and put the medicine at end of his tongue and your beagle will swallow it..later give him some water or ice-cream to eat..

Firstly, the way you are feeding the medicine to your puppy is not the right method to feed medicines to dogs. Your dog will never eat the medicines if you hide them in food or water. You need to firmly hold the puppy and insert the tablet directly into the throat of the puppy. Once the tablet is in, you should gently stroke the neck so that the tablet sinks into the stomach.
If you are unable to do this, please seek assistance from your Vet. Just for your information, deworming can also be done through injections.
