I wanted to know , if it's a wise decision to buy German shepherd?

Hi, I wanted to know , if it's a wise decision to buy German shephard as we have one person who is athmatic. Or is a breed which is better ? And also if you know of really good breeders in Delhi for the same. Your inputs are very much appreciated

if the dog is housed outside then it wont be a problem.but if you want your dog to stay with you inside the house then definitely you should go for a breed which sheds little or no amount of hair like the Kerry Blue Terriers.just do a homework on several breeds and you can will get a clear picture.

It is better for that person to first go and stay with someone who has dogs for 10 odd days and see how it goes. If all is well then the person should contact their doctor and take their advise and only then go in for a dog. Generally cats give more problems, but then dogs can also.

It is not a wise idea to get a dog first and then realise that you cannot keep it due to the person in the house who cannot stand one due to health reasons. There are too many pedigree homeless dogs out there and we do not want another one.

Your doctor will be best to advise you. generally you have breeds that do not shed and are know to be alright with allergic etc people. Poodles are one such breed. Why they are said to be good is because they do not shed, but on the down side they will require regular grooming from a proffessional.

My frank advise will be do not get a dog.
