to keep a doberman pinscher you need a bigger space. they are very good guard dog but without early trainer it will be hard to keep. think twice before getting a dober man. they are highly intelligent . one thing
why do you need a doberman?

Shakti - Looking at your question and profile you seems to be a student and do not have experience in keeping dog.
Please understand - every breed of dog has its own characteristics, doberman is very good gaurd dog and highly intelligent. They are surely not recomended for first time owners, you need to develop experience in keeping dog and handle all behaviour issues and need to know how to correct them.
Look out for a small breed of dog to start with, if you are very keen, surely would not suggest a dobbie.

It is a pity that dobbies have such a bad rep. They are very loving and very intelligent. However, like most big dogs, if you don't know how to train them, then it can become a very unpleasant experience for you with your dog. Dobbies are extremely strong dogs and I know from experience that trying to walk an badly trained dobbie can cause lot of physical injury for yourself and people around you.

If you are a first time dog owner, go for something smaller and easier to control. Once you learn how to get a dog trained, then you can always get a dobbie as your second dog.

i totallydisagree with your statement. dobes are very lovable pets. my dobe has saved my daughter twice from poisonous snakes. they are family pets. but yes ofcourse they require lot of exercise, trg and discipline. if you are lazy guy dont go for it.
