Show him to a vet to see if there is some medical problem if there are any patched or foul smell etc. All dog shed and so do labs. You need to brush your dog regularly which will reduce the amount of hair shedding all over the house. Use a good shampoo rather than experimenting with different shampoos and as a result of which his hair may also be falling. A value for money shampoo I feel is Petcare, Notix shampoo. Also feed him a good diet, Preferably a good packet food like Royal Canin or Eukanoba.
