Generally big dogs like labs or Rottweiler are not recommended for people living in apartments as they need space. If you are willing to give big dog breeds 02 long walks a day only then you should look at any big dog breed. Bored dogs can develop bad habits and be destructive too. Generally a small breed like the cocker is much better for apartments. Need less space and exercise.

Do keep in mind that a Rottweiler is a guard breed and will need a person with experience living and taking care of big dogs. Labs do require a lot of exercise. Do search on the above mentioned breeds and also see reliable information about the breed and what all they require and then see if you can match it with your lifestyle as this is a 10 to 15 yr commitment.

All The Best

English cocker spaniel is the best..Full of energy,loving..Gender doesnt really matter much.Generally females are more attached to family and calm.Need to train him/her early and need to groom once in a week..Try to get it from a home raised mother with a good pedigree..All the best..

Abhilasha..No doubt beagle is an excellent dog.Though it is small dog it needs lot of exercise..It barks and howls a lot when it gets bored.Big voice that u can hear him from a mile. And when it comes to cocker, u need to spend time on grooming..Watch the link below for better understanding.

The beagle needs less grooming and has a loud bark. It has a tendancy to wander away and not listen as its a hound/ smell dog, used to chase rabbits etc.

English cocker are nice but will need grooming and their ears are quite long and need to be kept clean and checked so as to avoid ear infection.

Depending on your budget if you want to be a bit different and want one of the most popular toy breeds in the UK and US then u can check out Cavalier King Charles Spaniels too. We the photo gallery on this website, to get an idea.

Not trying to sell the breed I am concentrating on but have a look too.
