what is the ideal weight for a boxer of his age.?

I've an Adult Boxer (6yrs) who has lost a lot of weight recently, he has been on home cooked food for a long time now,but has stopped eating it most of the times. also his immunity is very low coz he tends to get some or the other trouble with his health. as he's full grown i cant give him hight protein diet, also he's not much into exercising too. but i want him to be healthy and to put on the normal weight. what is the ideal weight for a boxer of his age. also what dog food should i give him to gain muscle, along with home food.

Abhilash, since you have a senior dog, I feel it's best to get the report on his blood and liver functioning. It's best to consult a Vet for the same. As far as feeding him is concerned, I'm not sure if you know, there are diets available in the market which are specifically tailored for dogs of this age. The level of protein, carbohydrates, etc is available according to the age of a senior dogs.
