How old is ur gsd?
Milk is high in lactose, give ur gsd curds instead. bread n roti arn't any nutrition for a dog, roti is just a bit of roughage.
There is no contradition to the fact that commercial dog foods have all the dog needs, however in my opinion meat is still the best food for a dog.

How old is your dog, plus manufactured dog food such as Royal Canin and eukanoba are the best. GSDs are working dogs and generally one does not see them fat. As long as the bones are not sticking out or can be felt easily, ur dog is ok in weight.

I personally do not advise or like dogs to be fed meat for various reasons. The quality can be an issue. If not cooked well, dogs can have health issues, etc.

I have a 6 month old rottweiler pup, i fed her human grade meat.
She is fed boiled meat, but there is popular belief in BARF these days. However its not convenient to everyone to ration meat freshly for the dogs, commercial foods do have this convenience.

As far as meat is concerned, i fed my english mastiff a raw prok. i know it may sound bad , but i don't believe in boiling the meat and fed the dogs. take it from me, any animals are not made to have cooked stuff. it we humans have this belief and dogs can have cook stuff. yes if u fed them cooked food they will eat it. take a example . A loin or a tiger don't eat cooked meat and thats the reason they good so shiney and in good health. You can easily fed raw meat to dogs considerting that it should be fresh and clean. other than this no issues. it's only on our mind. my mastiff had always ate raw meat from the time he as a pup. infact their are many advantages of feeding raw meat.

I quite agree with ur opinion Ajay, tho i havn't been able to find out much abt how barf shld be introduced, how does one ensure the degree of freshness of the meat etc.
Also what sort bones shld be given to the dog, i hear cooked ones are bad, and raw tick bones such as the hind legs of a goat are fine.. is that so?
I'd be happy to know more abt raw diets if you cud share something out of ur experience.

yes i would love to tell you more. dogs are carnivorus animals. their digestive system is not designed for cooked food. infact they have digestive problem because of cooked food. the meat should be fresh which u can see if it is on spot slaughtered. even a frozen meat will do . bad meat will smell bad. u need to check it and buy it only when u r sure. don't ever tell the meatwala that u r taking it for ur dog . he might start selling u bad meat. i will also tell u the risk of giving raw meat. if the meat is not fresh. it contains various bacterial that can be harmfull for ur dogs. but at the other hand , dogs have antibacterial stuff in their saliva which kills all the bacterial. still u should buy fresh meat. just don't tell the meatwala that u r buying it for ur dog and u can ensure that the meat is good enough for ur dog.

as far as bones are concered. bones are never good for dogs. a cooked bones are infact very dangerous for dogs as it can splinter inside. it is just like crused glass going inside the body. u can give chiken bones raw to dogs twice a week, but not much. it should be just a treat and not a meal. u need to give the dogs boneless meat raw.

Agree @Ajay that bones are not good for dogs, would like to further add that big bones are better than small bones. Chicken bones are a big NO. This is because that Dogs do not have big Cheeks and they cannot chew things as nicely as human's can do. Dogs eat on Tear and swallow basis. If small bones are given they may not chew it and just swallow it injuring internal organs.
Some Gundogs are good at handling Avian bones, however I would not be comfortable feeding small bones to GSDs

yes i too agree @rana. i never really insist on giving bones to dogs. small raw bones are not harmfull as cooked ones. yes but the little risk is always there.

Yea, thats what i had heard abt the bones bit... cooked ones being potentially fatal, and raw wholesome bones r ok....
I give boiled chicken to my rotty, any idea if i cud get beef or pork in gurgaon? I would prefer to ration this meat in a freezer, i suppose a gradual move/ transition from boiled to raw in like 3 days wud do well..

pls share thoughts n opinions

you can easily get pork in gurgoan. i don't give beef becuase of religious belief. but it's everyones personal choice. pork or beef will do great to ur dog. just see to it that u get the meat from a renouned meat shop. for pork better ask if its a white pig or not.

AJAY DONT U FEEL PORK AND BEEF CONTAINS MORE FAT ALSO MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF STEROIDS GIVEN TO ANIMALS.
HOW ABOUT GOAT MEAT OR RAW CHICHEN ?? WHICH IS EASILY AVAILABLE AND WILL BE MORE FRESH THEN BEEF AND PORK.
WHICH WOULD BE BETTER

No , it's only myth for beef and pork containing more fat. even a goat meat contains fat. not necessary that one needs to compulsory to give pork. But yes the result varies. pork got better result and that my personal observation. people may have different choices.
