Even you cant control female dogs when mating season comes.. excited during mating season depends on individual dog, not the breed specific i hope so. I have seen lot of dogs and i never heard that male dogs are uncontrollable when mating season comes, if you bothered about this then better neuter your male dog, so that you wont face such things anymore.

As long as u keep one sex of dog regardless of breed there is no problem. If u do have both male and female then yes you can have problems like excessive marking of territory which can be curtains etc. Howling, barking not eating chewing / scratching doors when female is in heat and in the same house.

U need to have a secure area as both males and females can run away inorder to get mated. If they see or smell something in the neighborhood.

If u r not breeding ur dog its best neutered regardless of sex after 6 months of age. Its really not that much of a problem.

If u have any specific question ask.
