I stay in an apartment in Bangalore. Which Dog do i go for?

I stay in an apartment in Bangalore. Which Dog do i go for? Its a 1000sqFt apartment, there are no attached garden or any such space. Me and wife are both working professionals. But both of us are hell bent on having a dog of our own. Her office is closer to the house and she came come maybe once in a day to check on the dog. I would like to know which breed of dog we can go for. I can take the dog out for its walk and exercise in the morning. But almost 10hrs the dog would have to be left alone at home. That is my prime concern.

Well, there are many experts to answer u.but would love to share my experience, dogs (specially in puppy phase)are just like babies, they need your attention and caring just like infants do. they need to be fed in regular intervals too..and its not only about giving them walks or exercise, u gotta spend time with them. so the case of both of u working, and the poor baby spending 10 hours alone is not what i'll suggest. i personally left my job to be with my poochie, well i dont even regret it. :). so go for a dog only when you will b able to give him proper time n care, coz its not the case for 2-3 months its a commitment of abt 15years.

Vignesh, you need atleast one person to look after the dog all day. It's a living being which needs a lot of socialisation and can't be confined all day in the house. Also, if you keep a puppy, s/he needs a lot of supervision in terms of training, care, feeding regularly, etc.
