I have a 2.5 month old Lab Bruno whenever he plays he starts biting, please help?

Hi, This is Kapil, actually i have a 2.5 month old Lab Bruno with me he is very active and whenever he plays he starts biting may be he doesnt realinse that he may hurt us. now problem is that today i took 25 days Female Lab to our home now Bruno gets very excited and he is trying to play like he plays with us and sometimes he throws himself on her since she is too small and bruno is almost 10 kg in weight it hurts her. also he bites her sometimes slowly but when he gets over excited he bite hard. Now my question is how i can manage this Situation.

Bruno is too small for training... this is the time puppies bites because new teeth grow this time and also biting is a way of playing... but be careful because puppies don't have control over there bite plus puppies teeth are more sharper than an adult dog and could hurt... you can give him toy to chew and if he bites hard then blow a force of air from your mouth and make him dis-comfortable... he will leave... never try to pull your hand suddenly else you will hurt yourself...

I am wondering why did you get a new puppy when you already have one... specially this very odd age difference????

Why you brought only 25 day old puppy. Buddy she is too small to get away from her mum. Wait atleast 2 to 2.5 month before bringing any puppy out of parents.

I guess you are a first time owner... and when i said sharp i was talking about the puppy's teeth not brain... of course he is smart all labs are smart they are in top 10 list of dog's intelligence... you need not to be a very experience trainer to train a lab...

and lemme tell you that its totally a myth that big dogs do not adjust with small dogs or puppies as long human is the pack leader all dogs will live in harmony and peace because they do not have to fight for the alpha position...

and as Ansh told before never pick a puppy before 45 days... till 45 days puppy need's mother's milk... if possible please return the dog to the breeder... I am sure your breeder is also a novice else he would not have sold/give you that puppy... this is a very serious thing... raising a puppy is more difficult than raising a human child... I will suggest you to read and search articles on raising a puppy on internet... please be good with your dog and do good for him...

Give bruno chewy toys and chewy calcium bone/ stick. It will make his desire of biting low.
Give 5ml calcium syrup (ostopet) 2 times a day.

Try buying a comfortable crate for the young female pup. That should keep her safe. Never leave both pups together without someone's vigilence. Bruno may play too rough for genie, so keep them seperated for atleast next 1month. U should not have bought a 25 days old pup in the first place. So as advised try to send the pup back to her mother & bring her back once she is 60days old. Pups not only need mother's milk but also learn a lot during this time from their mother which ensures that in future they will behave properly with us & other dogs. A pup seperated from mother too early may end up having behavioural problems which I m sure U wont want to happen. So try sending her back to her mother if possible.
