Dachshunds are very easy to train. But the only problem is that tricks once learnt must be repeated every day because of their stubborn nature.

I have a dachshund and it took me a 4 -5 days (4 sessions per day) to teach any trick.
To teach a trick, say the word ( for example SIT) and make your pup sit. IN the beginning you will have to make him sit. Once the action of sitting is done, reward him with a treat. Keep doing this and he will get the idea. when he does it on his own, give him extra treats and praise him.

Teach only 1 trick at a time. when he learns one trick then move to the next trick. Tricks must be revised several times a day.

Do not show anger or frustration when he doesnt do the the trick.
