Breeding is an art and not everyone can do it. If you breed dogs properly, there is not much money to be made plus its a full time job. I personally wud not suggest it if you want it to be a money making business. Its best done as a hobby.

I am no expert, just a passionate dog lover. You need to study the breed and also try to get the best quality dogs, which in most cases are not present in India. Getting them from overseas is very difficult, as in searching for a very good breeder and then getting a good dog from them, which most breeder will not specially after you say India......... u have a good thought, but that is what it is. I feel......

If you have spare money which you want to blow up that too in lakhs then yes you can do this, at least I feel that ............ take any breed and see how many are breeding that breed in India......do you think u have a chance........

Dinkar in ur profile u say u are a dog breeder and u sell puppies. But here u say u r not an expert..guess you are a person who relies on helpless anmals to earn a livelihood by breeding them without any knowledge. You should be reported to PETA..
Kush Singh dont rely on his advice he too is only making money out of helpless animals by breeding them.

Puthran....u are a very bored person, it seems. For your kind knowledge, Knowledge is something that one cannot get it all. Even a so called expert keeps learning. Only a fool will say that he knows it all.

As for breeding dogs, let me make it clear to you that its my passion and hobby. I dont keep dogs for money and on the other hand I spend far greater money and time on keeping them. Dogs are not my business.

Not ur business?? ..well ur profile says u breed dogs and sell puppies and here u say u are not an expert and that breeding dogs is an art. Sale means in exchange for money...not free which means u do it for money and they are ur source of livelihood. Nothing wrong in it if u know what u are doing but when u admit that its an art, requires expertise and admit that u arent an expert urself..shows that u are a puppy mill owner.

If you are a dog lover and doing this only for passion and not for profit, then why dont you start a shelter and help some of the lakhs&lakhs of homeless dogs? Just a suggestion :) as we need this more in our country than breeders. Animal lovers all over the world are fighting against puppy mills & breeders running amock, so it would be good to contribute to the cause.

Miss.Melissa i appreciate your suggestion too and i have this paln too but here i am talking about breeding of good bloodline and about the purity of some breeds which is an art i understand your viw bout puppy mills but i dont need any puppy mill to making money i am satisfied with ma resources and all i have already.i just want to introduce some good bloodlines in india as now days its not present in many cases. Its not all about for money. And as i seen your profile your favourite breeds are siberian husky, pit bull and mix breeds why you donn prefer stray dogs. This is your attraction towards these breeds. And its my passion to create something good.Again i am repeating that its my passion to creat something good in this breeding stuff, remember my words i am not talking about here for money in any blog so stop suggesting me your welfare views and this is my hobbie and i am asking these suggestion for only quries. And my aim was making buks then i didnt blog here.i know well how to make money and already a dog lover since 10 yrs and have many breeds but didnt start bbreeding them but now i think its an art so i am concern about this its not easy stuff Miss.Melissa. Thank you for your blog.GoodLuck

Like I said it was just a suggestion, and not a judgement upon you. Since you went through my profile I'd like you to know a little more, as a potential breeder you do know that Huskies and pit bulls are beautiful, so I think it is ok to like them. But for my own, i have two Indian breeds or strays as you would call them, and would always choose an Indian dog over a pedigree. One of them had burns all over her body, so you can understand my advocacy for the Indian breed.I am already a member of our local shelter, also offer a foster home until that dog gets a forever home.
Anyway, good luck to you too.
