My dog eat stones n other stuff on the road instead of walking, help?

hi!! whenever i take my dog, huse 4 months old for a walk, he starts eatin stones n other stuff on d road instead of walkin.. i actually hv to force him to walk n nt eat dose bad stuff.. n its lyke every 5 min ders sumthin in his mouth n den i hv to struggle to remove it.. is dis normal?? how do i correct his behaviour??

its very normal.. my 5 month old lab does exactly the same...n dont know why they love to eat stones.. put your hand in hismouth..n take it out...nevergive up on this ...with age it will get less ..as per walks thats the probelm that even i face .. wheni posted this question on yahoo.. i got answer that its very normal...so be patient.. thy r just like babies i guess...tk cr

Just place the leash all the way on top of the neck Just as in dog shows. while walking keep the leash short and relaxed this will let u hav more control on walks and secondly restrict the dog to hav more room and Eat here n there ... ALL THE BEST
