Why do people behave as if dogs r demons? The real demons r our selves. what do u all say?

True. Explain or expand ur experience.

It is the owner which gives a breed or dog a bad name and not the breed itself. And that is because people do not understand the breed or its requirements and go ahead and get one which fancies them.

as mr.dinker singh has asked me to tell my experiance i will tell u-i have a female cocker spaniel dog.just a month earlier i had my relatives at my house.the lady or the mother of their family did not like my dog and often used to scold the dog.after a few days inspite of scolding my dog she bet her hard with a cane untill the dog started bleeding.

OMG!!! what a cruel lady!!! I would have strainghtway asked her to leave!!!
And this is the reason I tell each of my relatives that "I HAVE A PUP....so think twice before coming...& i will NOT withstand any rude behaviour towards my lil prince"
and of course many now avoid visiting me...but i chose to b rather left alone with my dog than entertain such inhumans!!

Why did u not step in before and wait for the beating to go on till your dog was bleeding.

Pets/ dogs are Dependant on the owners and it is the owners responsibility to take care of ur pet. They too r living things and have feelings. That is why I say do not get a pet or a dog if u r not ready for the responsibility.

U r too blame and u alone for letting all this happen, I guess u r the demon here and dont expect any sympathies .

Dare anyone touch my dog in any of my family member's presence leave alone me...i will not think twice going to the same level for the person doing this to my dog.

And as for you ..you dont deserve the companionship of your dog.Had been your child getting beaten in place of the dog would you have not interrupted?? The poor animal can't speak..God it sends shivers down my spine hearing of the cruelty. You are more to blame than the lady who did this.I pity the dog living among such cruel beasts.

Best not to allow such ppl to interact with ur pet, this experience may turn a perfectly cool spaniel to be people agressive.

Jahnavi, I can understand what you mean and your situation, that is why children should not get a dog unless they are 100% sure and also have the support of the parents. If your family friends/ relatives did not like dogs, your parents should not have allowed them to stay with you all or you should have kept your dog separate in your room or else where.

As a kid I had this beautiful Rottweiler, but it used to stay in my room when guests used to come, not because he was ferocious but in those days Rottweilers had just got a bad name and were being banned in a lot of countries so people who knew about Rottweilers where scared.

Any how dont take it to heard although it was very wrong what happened. Take good care of your dog and give it that extra love and affection and do not let it get a fear of people/ strangers. Take it out and make it meet people who like dogs and ask them to give her a biscuit or something. That is after it recovers. How is he/ she what did the vet say.

You did post a comment regarding a crate also.....where r u going, your dog may not be able to travel right now. Check out the similar post for your answer.
