Violence and inhuman behavior towards dogs has been pretty evident, be it people burning the poor little pups alive, or making them work in circus or throwing them off the roof just for fun. Animals have now become a status symbol for high society people. Owners abandon the dogs if they fall ill or get bored of them.

There are some who make the voiceless dogs pay for things that they didn’t even do. It’s like people have no compassion left in them. Sapna recalls an incident and narrates saying, “I recall an incident about three years ago, that happened in the New Palasia area. A lady was followed by 4-5 dogs at night. Nothing happened; the woman reached her home safely, but she was petrified by the experience. So, she filed a complaint with the local municipal corporation and the dogs were fed poisonous biscuits and killed.”

Sapna works with Animal and Bird Welfare Society located in Indore, which has been working towards saving animals from such indecent behavior. This society begun in 2003 and the group are constantly helping animals who suffered from accident or were abused. She is handling this organization all by herself. The Welfare society is run on donations and people who are kind enough to volunteer for the cause.

What Sapna is doing is worthy of appreciation. She understands that abandoning dogs or abusing stray animals isn’t a civilized thing to do. A little help, shelter, and love is all they need. It is you who could make this world a better place to live in, not only for you but for the animals as well.

Kudos to Sapna Chaurasia for doing such a fabulous job!
