These harnesses are made in collaboration with A Hundred Hands as a part of their recycling for a livelihood projects. The Hundred Hands is a nonprofit trust, whose mission is to help those directly involved in the creation of any handmade art, crafts and homemade foods, to earn a fair and sustainable livelihood from their work.
The harnesses are named Hita Harness; Hita translates to god will to self and all beings. Something, which has been preached for centuries through all religious literature. These harnesses are made from recycled jeans, along with this it is produced by a small self-organized group of people who work to get their ends meet. The Bangalore Hundskole does not earn any profits from these products. All the profits earned from the harnesses goes towards the Animal Welfare Organization.
All the products that are made has two prime ingredients joy and care. In fact Satva believes that this is something that is experienced by everyone who handcraft these products.
SATVA is an initiative that is promoted by Bangalore Hundskole, run by Sindhoor Pangal, who is a canine family coach and behaviourist in Bangalore. She has completed a course under Turid Rugaas and Anne Lill Kvam. She runs puppy classes, provides consultation, gives leash training and also helps in the socialization session for dog and puppy.
The unique aspect of this product is that all the money that is generated from the sales of these harnesses will go towards the upliftment of animals. These come in a variety of sizes for all pets.
