Whether or not you are a dog lover, this will cause your heart to spasm. Can you believe the news when it says humans are punishing and torturing stray dogs every single day? Not a day goes by without such cruelty. Chennai has been one of the top cities for such horror.

The video of this horrible incident is present online. A rotund man dressed in a white shirt beams at the camera while holding a dog on the very edge of a terrace. Then he grabs it by the folds of skin on its back and hurtles the dog, whose little tail was wagging seconds earlier, off the roof.
To a great surprise, the dog did not die. Let's call it a miracle. The dog plunges two storeys to the ground.
"Good news - The dog has been found alive. She is not able to walk properly. She is with us now. Will be under treatment. What breaks my heart is that she was still wagging her tail." said Shravan Krishnan, an activist.
However, imagine a life with immense pain. The dog suffered a fracture and is being treated for injuries.

The dog-thrower and the horror filmmaker are both medical students in Chennai and have been identified after the video went viral as Gautam Sudarshan and Ashish Pal. The police believe they are hiding in their hometown of Tirunelvelli, 600 km from Chennai.
A senior police officer investigating said, "We have filed a case under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. We are getting information from the college to get in touch with the medicos' parents. We hope they would encourage them to appear before us."
Investigators say the animal was tortured two weeks ago. After the video was posted on social media, dog activists launched a campaign to find the suspects, who rented rooms not far from their college. It's still not clear which building the dog was thrown from.

It's also not clear why we people think that dogs can be treated this badly. Where does our judgement take us? It's sad when dog lovers wake up to such a news, because all we do is try to make every dog we meet happy.
It breaks my heart to share this world with lunatics like these med students. Let's agree to call them criminals. And hope that someday a suitable punishment will be given to such humans.
