Vet Eats Breakfast With A Neglected Pitbull

04 Aug 2016 | by | Posted in: Wag News

It’s really cool to see when a human could give immense love to a dog. Of late, a woman found a dog starving on the street. She didn’t waste a minute and took him to the vet, Dr Mathis. At Granite Hills Animal Care, Dr Mathis understood by the mere sight of him that the pit bull was in an awful condition. The poor pooch was anaemic, emaciated and hypothermic. Also, the vaginal prolapse made everything worse.

The vet was a little uncertain if she would be able to make it or not. Hence, with the help of Facebook, he asked for a little help and support from his fellow animal lovers. He mentioned on Facebook saying, “So I had 2 choices. I can put her to sleep. Or try to save her. So I asked the universe … also known as Facebook … and the universe said ‘Try.’ The universe even named her as they said, ‘we hate the thought that any pet gets sent to rainbow bridge or passes away without a name,’ so they christened her Graycie Clair. Spelt with a Y for her grey colouring.”

Gracyie though started to recover, but there was still a little trust issue. Mathis left no stone unturned and sat down inside her kennel to have breakfast with the aim of encouraging her to have a little food. He ate his food inside the kennel. Dr Mathis has all the love for animals and showed immense respect and compassion for Gracyie. He treated her with affection showed her that it is completely okay to dig into food and enjoy it.

The video below will surely make your heart melt seeing Dr Mathis eating his food inside the kennel with Gracyie. This little gesture made her happy and healthy. We wish there were more people like Dr Mathis in this world.
