The Lost & Found section at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport just got a whole lot efficient and, wait for it, cuter!! Yes! you heard it right, cuter!!!
KLM Airlines have employed the service of Sherlock, an adorable uniform clad Beagle to help passengers find items that they might have forgotten on the flight they were travelling in. Appropriately named Sherlock uses its amazing olfactory senses and tracking skills to sniff the missing item and then runs through the Amsterdam airport to find the rightful owner. Sherlock is seen carrying mobile phones, headphones and even toys in his pouch and running across the airport.
KLM employees definitely think that Sherlock is an asset and pamper him to bits. Sherlock’s handler Dirk van Driel says that tracking is not an easy job and that “Sherlock is trained for muscle strength, endurance and even socialisation”. For the KLM employees, the joyous reaction that passengers have after finding their lost items and that too by a cute Beagle is a amazing. Sherlock is the new star at the airport and has grateful passengers clicking selfies with him.
