Wet Dog Food

One of the best options that you can give your dog is wet dog food since it would last for a long time and it can be mixed with other items. However, this isnít going to cut it the entire lockdown since larger dogs eat more and this is pretty pricey. This can be mixed with other food that is less expensive like the dry dog food or even rice and some chicken to ensure that they are getting all of the nutrients that is required. Chicken and Rice

This might not be the best option, but if you have some chicken available, then you can easily boil it up while you are cooking for yourself. You should ensure that the chicken is in small pieces and that there isnít any bones in it that would cause them to choke. Also, you should make sure that there isnít a lot of spice in the mixture and give it with a bit of rice to ensure that they are getting the required protein.

What Not to Feed Dogs

There is a lot that you should think about in regards to what you shouldnít be feeding them during this time as well, including:

  • Chocolate
  • Citrus fruit
  • Milk
  • Nuts
  • Chives, garlic & onions
  • Salt or salty foods

The more you know about what they shouldnít be given, then the easier it would be for you to feed them during this time, especially if you are going to be cooking them some meals.

Make sure that you are thinking about what to feed the animals during this time since it can be complicated if you havenít stocked up on anything. You can give them dry or canned food that would work well or if you have anything else, then you can mix it together to make it more palatable. You should also know what you shouldnít be giving them, even with limited stock in the house, to ensure that they donít get sick.
