When Beagle Found The Home She Deserved

18 Jul 2016 | by Deepshikha Tahiliani | Posted in: Wag News

In February 2016, about 64 beagles were saved from a drug-testing laboratory, thanks to the state government who rejected the plea to use those pups for experiments. After the release, these beagles were accommodated in Hotel for Dogs, which was a venture by Shravan Krishnan. Debadrita Ghosh Jadhav decided to adopt the one who need the attention most. A beagle who was suffering from tumour was adopted by Debbie and was named Paris.

Debbie took care of Paris till her last breath. Paris underwent a surgery for the removal of this big tumour. Paris was a happy dog, despite her bad tumour condition, her tail never stopped wagging. This little pooch loved to go out for walks; she would jump and play with Debadrita’s friends. But the condition went from bad to worse, when cancer spread and she developed jaundice. Both Debadrita and her family stood strongly by Paris’s side. Debbie knew that Paris is irreplaceable but, then came along another beagle from the lot who was shiest and the oldest one. Debbie decided to adopt her and named her Mukta.

With the love and affection Mukta got, from the shiest one, she has now become playful and naughty. She follows Debbie everywhere.

There are no words to define what a big heart Debadrita has. The amount of love she gave to Paris and now nurturing Mukta is invaluable. We wish there were more people like Debbie who not only love animals but actually care for them like their own. We yearn and hope that you have amazing years with Mukta and people get inspiration from you!
Three Cheers to Debbie and Mukta!
